14th June 2009 - Looe Lugger Regatta - Looe harbourI stayed on land this morning to watch the luggers leave port for the second days racing. Most of the visiting luggers are moored alonf West looe Quayside, this is the view from Shutta Road. The two larger french vessels are moored on East Looe Quay below Middleton's corner. The crews are waking up, the waft of Breakfast bacon frying makes you hungry as you walk along the quayside. In the morning sun the luggers are prepared to slip their berths at high tide. |
