13th June 2009 - 11th Biennial Looe Lugger Regatta
This weekend sees the 11th Looe Lugger Regatta.
Some 50 - 60 luggers of various sizes have all arrived in the port of Looe for a weekend of races and social events.
My thanks must go to skipper Claude Van-Martyn who invited me to join the crew on board his lugger Pet PZ111 for the days racing.

Oops!*! we did not get to the start line in time, frustrating for the crew's competitive spirit, but a bonus for a photographer.
As all the luggers under full sail headed straight for us!
We were not the only lugger to be in the wrong position.
We turn at the start line and join the fleet going the right way towards the first mark by Seaton and Downderry.
