1st August 2009 - UK Surf boat championships - Saunton SandsSS 447 376 - On the North devon coast lies Saunton Sands.3 miles of sandy beach, backed by Braunton Burrows is the venue In each heat four or five teams start from the shore and row out to a bouy. The boats plough through the swell. Turning the bouy the surf boats make the most of the incoming swell to get back to shore. The sweep steers the surf boat. Some times the boats go along the waves. The surf boats rise over the waves. The surf boats rise over the waves. The surf boats rise over the waves. As the surf boats rach the shore, one of the crew jumps out.
