18th May 2008 - Battle of Stratton re-enactment - final assault

At the start of the Civil war battles were quite civilised.

The roundhead and royalist commanders approach each other to see if one side will concede victory.

More roundhead prisoners were taken than the royalist forces knew what to do with.

Cornwall remained under Royalist control.

This re-enactment is an annual event for the Sealed Knot society. Each year they march to Stamford hill and lay a wreath at the battle memorial.
