1st May 2008 - CharlestownWe stopped at Charlestown on our way home from Padstow. Just as the rain clouds started to threaten a downpour.The Kaskelot, a square rigger in port and the crew were aloft preparing the sails. The Kaskelot is a three masted Barque, built in 1948 she is a replica of a 19th centuary wooden ship. The Kaskelot has 17 sails with a total coverage of 9500 square feet. The rain clouds gathered.
