17th June 2007- Looe Lugger regatta - amHigh tide is some 45 minutes later than yesterday so the crews have a welcome lie in after the party under the fish market last night. From Barbican Hill we can overlook the luggers moored alongside West Looe Quay. Running repairs are needed on the rigging! Just before 10am the first luggers slip their moorings and head down river. and out into Looe bay. Here are a selection of the luggers, my vantage point today is the small pier by little beach East Looe. |
