16th June 2007- Looe Lugger regatta - pm
The Luggers raced in Looe Bay all day, rain showers in the afternoon gave way to some sunny spells.
The light is wonderful after a rain shower as it picks out some of the luggers.

In years gone by luggers fished off the Cornish coast using long lines for conger, turbot and ray.

and drift nets were shot for pilchards

Today these former fishing boats are lovingly restored by their owners and they are now raced.
