3rd May 2009 - Looe Powerboat weekend - offshore circuit racingSunday saw the second rounds of the National Powerboat Racing Championships.The weather was much kinder allowing the V24 to race. The powerboats came down river from the dry pits. Drivers and co-pilots wave to the crowds on the Banjo Pier. As they make their way to the start out in Looe bay. Drivers and co-pilots wave to the crowds on the Banjo Pier. The V24 course is far longer than the OCR classes. Close to the pier the two cpurses come together. The OCR course is shorter and tighter. At the end of the race the V24's make their way up river to the dry pits. |
