25th August 2008 - Newlyn Fish Festival - RNAS and RNLI Search and Rescue demonstration (3)
For the third demonstration the Penlee lifeboat is out in Mounts bay.
Two of the crew take to the sea.
A Sea King - Rescue 193 - from RNAS Culdrose arrives.
Flares are used to show their position.
The winchman is lowered.
and moves towards the person in the sea.
once in the strop they are winched up into the Sea King.
The winchman is then lowered for the second casualty.
and they are also winched up.
Rescue 193 then approaches the Ivan Ellen, Penlee lifeboat.
With a green flag raised the first casualty is lowered to the lifeboat.
The second casualty is next.
Finally a stretcher is lowered before the helicopter takes its leave from Newlyn.
