Piz Gloria on the Schilthorn found fame in the James Bond movie, On Her Majesty's Secret Service filmed in 1967. Looking up from the meadows above Murren we can see the Schilthorn on the left and the peak on the right is called the Birg.

The revolving restaurant at 2970m is reached by 2 cable cars from Murren. If you started your journey in the valley at Stechelberg then there are 2 more cable cars via Gimmelwald to Murren.

The restuarant revolves through 360 degrees every hour. Outside there is a large terrace.

From the terrace, on a good day, there is a panoramic 360 degree view with the Unesco world heritage site of the Eiger, Monch and Jungfrau mountains to the East and more than 200 other mountain summits.

Here is the start of a ridge mountain path down to Murren.
