8th July 2008 - Murren - SwitzerlandOn a plateau on the western side of the Lauterbrunnen valley lies the traffic free village of Murren at 1650m.The only way to get to the village is by cable car and mountain train, unless you want hike up the valley sides!. The mountain trio of the Eiger, Monch and Jungfrau, Unesco world heritage site are never far away on the other side of the valley. Murren is reached via the Bahn-Lauterbrunnen-Murren (BLM) mountain railway which follows the valley edge from Grutschalp.
