3rd January 2009 - Mousehole Christmas lightsThe Mousehole Christmas Light committee celebrates 45 years of illuminations around the inner harbour at Mousehole. The final night of this years display was the 3rd of January, so as we were close to Mousehole we drove over as dusk fell. This year is the centenary of the Mousehole male voice choir. There was a wind blowing and even with the harbour gate in place there was a swell in the inner harbour. With long exposures this gave a few challenges. The Ship Inn is famous for Starry Gazey Pie on Tom Bawcocks Eve. Even the Mousehole cat put in an appearance. and the whale continues to wink. The lights are supported by voluntary donations. You can read more about the lights at the official web site. |
