3rd February 2009 - Dobwalls in the snowEven Cornwall did not escape the highest snowfall recorded in the last 22 years. These images are taken in my village, Dobwalls. This is the green on Treheath Estate. With the Dobwalls bypass open there is little traffic in the village to clear the main road. Cars are covered in the pub car park. The Cornish flag still flies. This is the Duloe Road. Looking North along the Duloe Road is the old A38 junction and the road to Havett Hill. Looking west all of the fields are covered in snow. and children have found a hill in the valley suitable for sledging. I walked along the public footpath beside the west looe river. from the top of the field the sheep were watching me. |
