A38 Dobwalls Bypass - August 2007 - Looe MillsWhilst the line of the Moorswater distributor road was being excavated, the bungalow at Looe Mills was being used by the site workmen. Now the excavations are nearly complete, the bungalow is in the way. So first the roof tiles are removed. And in the old cafe car park a retaining wall is being built. later in August, returning to work one Friday lunchtime I saw the walls being knocked down and guess what - I did not have my camera on me! By the time I returned in the evening the bungalow had been demolished. The retaining wall in the cafe car park takes shape. All that is left is rubble . This is from the old cafe car park looking west. Accross the road, preformed concrete block stand in a strange alignment. |
