A team from AC Archaeology are monitoring this site. What makes this site interesting is there are no known prehistoric settlements in this area between Liskeard and Dobwalls. Back in February the Parish Council were informed that medieval trenches and a Bronze Age burial site had been discovered. On 1st June it was announced that fragements of Bronze Age pottery have been discovered under a mound of stones. Flint tools and waste flakes have also been discovered. Dating back over 4000 years the finds have been taken to AC Archaeology's base for analysis. |
