30th December 2007 - Looe Christmas LightsOnce again the East Looe River sparkles with the reflections of the Christmas lights around the harbour. This year two yachts moored by West Looe Quay were illuminated. When I went down to take these images, the tide was on the turn and beginning to come in. This meant there was not much depth of water in the harbour, so the reflections changed as the incoming water flowed over the ripples in the sand. Getting my feet wet we can see the lights along the quaysides. Some of the Hotels and Gusethouses were lit. This is looking over West looe Quayside from Shutta Lane by 78 steps. The sandy river bed created intersting reflections. |
