27th April 2007- Cabilla and Redrice woods

SX 129 652 - Hidden just North of the A38 in the Glyn Valley between Liskeard and Bodmin is Cornwall Wildlife Trust's Cabilla and Redrice woods nature reserve.

There are a couple of circular walks around this ancient woodland. Along the tracks butterflies were feeding from the bluebell nectar.

We saw several species - fritillaries and clouded yellows posed for a photograph, others such as an oranged tipped butterfly were just to active. A Peacock butterfly was basking in the sun.

A squirrel watched us from a fallen tree.
