8th February 2007- Rome - Foro Romano.

Walking down from the Palatino we enter the forum, using the same route trod by emporers and senators.

The Roman forum was built on marshland between the palentine and Capitol hills at the end of the 7th centuary BC. Foro Romano - Temple of Saturn Foro Romano - Temple of Saturn

There are different entrances into the Forum. From the Colosseo you can pass by the left of the Temple of Venus and Rome to the Arch of Titus. Temple of Venus and Rome with the Arch of Titus Temple of Venus and Rome

Walking back along the disused railway embankment we noticed the frogs had been busy in the pools. Palentine mansions overlook Temple of Saturn

Back home in the garden, crocus are in full flower.
