8th February 2007- Rome - Foro Romano.
Walking down from the Palatino we enter the forum, using the same route trod by emporers and senators.
The Roman forum was built on marshland between the palentine and Capitol hills at the end of the 7th centuary BC.

There are different entrances into the Forum. From the Colosseo you can pass by the left of the Temple of Venus and Rome to the Arch of Titus.

Walking back along the disused railway embankment we noticed the frogs had been busy in the pools.

Back home in the garden, crocus are in full flower.

Later the Imperial Forums were built. Trajan's market was built 107-112 AD.
