During the last week in August a large container ship HR Constitution arrived carrying over 100 containers, team AC45 catamarans and pilot ribs from stop one at Cascais Portugal.
Once unloaded the race village is constructed on Clyde Quay at Millbay docks.
The media centre is being constructed on Plymouth Hoe.
Nine AC45 wing sailed catamarans are being assembled in the docks, practice and sea trials begin.
China Team and Team Aleph - Equipe de France.
Designed for speed and close racing the AC45 is capable of reaching speeds in excess of 30 knots.
