19th February 2011 - A Vintage Mobile Cinema visits Liskeard.

In 1967 the Ministry of Transport commissioned a fleet of seven custom-built Bedford vehicles to go around the country promoting British production techniques. Only one bus survives and it took the current owner Ollie Halls five years to retore the mobile cinema to it's pristine condition.

Awen production's Tre project invited the Vintage Mobile Cinema to visit Liskeard.

The Vintage Mobile Cinema parked on the parade in Liskeard, outside Webbs House.

The Vintage Mobile Cinema seats 22 in comfort and has a state-of-the-art HD digital projection unit.
Above the cab there is ( for the 1960's ) a futuristic-looking clear Perspex dome.

Today's feature was a selection of clips from rare 1930's footage shot in Cornwall provided by the South West Film and TV archive.

A short film on the restoration of the Mobile Cinema was also screened.
