Over the winter months many of the glass bottom boats and those used for fishing or pleasure trips have been laid up out of water on East looe Quay.

Out of the water the hulls can be cleaned and repainted ready for the new season.

Next week is half term, hoping for fine weather and plenty of visitors it is time to get the boats back into the water.

The fishing charter boat Carrie Anne is followed by Force 10.

As the tide floods the river, a bright yellow crane arrives.

Standing on the West Looe side of the bridge, the red hull of the Boscastle Lass is carefully lowered into the river.

The crane turns around to pick up another galss bottom boat.

The shore team use ropes to guide the boats over the quay edge.

Each boat is turned mid air so it is in line with the quay walls.
