31st January 2010 - Help for Heroes winter dip - East Looe
It was snowing when I left Dobwalls to drive to Looe.
Hail still covered the Banjo Pier, there was a cold wind, but the sun was shining.
A group of bravehardy people from the Ship Inn gathered on the beach as they have arranged a winter dip to raise money for Help for Heroes.
My congratulations to all those involved as I believe they raised over £1200.
Suddenly the group ran down the beach.
The banner was raised at sea.
before long it became too cold for some.
I was quite happy to stand on the beach wearing several layers, as groups left the water.
Some went back in for a second time.
