9th March 2008 - St Pirans Fest, PerranporthSW 7685 5638 - Each year on the Sunday closest to St Pirans day, the people of Perranzabuloe celebrate St Piran with their annual pilgrimage and play.Piran leads the procession on towards the church. Today the church foundations lie in the dunes close to to stone cross. The pipers and drummer follow. The crowd follow Piran through the dunes and up to St Piran's cross. Pipers Neil and Vicky Parker with drummer Graham Cullingford play at the cross. The tunes include Bodmin Riding, Tom Bawcock's and Liskeard Fair. The villagers circle the cross.
