15th August 2007 - British fireworks championships - Plymouth
Once again Plymouth hosts the British fireworks championships. For two nights in August, 6 teams provide thousands of spectators with fantastic displays. Using Mountbatten breakwater for the displays, crowds line Plymouth Hoe and Jennycliff to watch. Plymouth Sound is full of small boats looking for a spectacular viewpoint.
These images are taken on the second evening. The first team is Viking Fireworks.

Tinside lido was floodlit and I tried to use this in the foreground. Though I am not sure how successful this was.

The second team is 1st Galaxy Fireworks. This time I have moved up onto the Hoe by Smeatons Tower.

The third team is Selstar Fireworks. They went on to win the competition.
