A38 Dobwalls Bypass - February 2007 - Work continuesDuring February I walked the route of the new bypass from East to West.Starting at Moorswater trees are being cleared and the traffic is being diverted through at 30mph contraflow. Beside Manuscript the banks of the East Looe River are being cleared. At Looe Mills the bungalow is being used as the site office. At Lantoom the trees by the layby have been felled. And you can begin to see the line of the new Moorswater distributor road. It was a good job I was not taken short!! Trees in the valley are being cleared. And further up the hill you can see the route North West to Havett Hill. At Havett Hill work has begun on building a temporary road to the West of the lane. Not much is happening on Coldwinds Lane. At the site compound on the A38 to the West of the village temporary lights will control heavy plant crossing to construct the new roundabout. On the A390 at Treburgie access to the Railway has been contstructed and more trees are cleared. |
