A38 Dobwalls Bypass - September 2008- Bypass opens
Saturday 20th September 2008 is a red letter day for the village. A major part of the bypass has been opened to traffic. At the western end by the roundabout both lanes of the Western carrigeway are in use and a single lane of the Eastbound carrigeway.

The Petersfield junction is open for traffic turning off the western carrigeway into the village or going down to Moorswater Industrial Estate.

The Looe Mills junction is open for traffic turning off the eastern carrigeway into the village or going down to Moorswater Industrial Estate.

Tarmac was only laid on the Looe Mills junction bridge this week.

Looking West towards Petersfield the traffic from the contraflow moves onto both lanes of the Western carrigeway.

On the North side of Looe Mills junction there is another junction leading to the original lane to Tuelmenna. Here you can carry on up the hill towards Tuelmenna and St Neot or turn right and double back on what is now a no through road to the houses by the Old Toll House Moorswater.

There is a sweeping curve onto the eastern carrigeway.

Down at Moorswater the temporary junction has been closed.

Western bound traffic is now diverted onto a contraflowalong the eastern carrigeway. Traffic has to go up to the Petersfield junction and come back down into Moorswater Industrial Estate via the Distributor road.

The Moorswater Distributor Road is now open.
