28th February 2015 - Carnaval de Roi de la Musique - Flower Parade.

The winter carnaval in Nice is one of the largest in the world.

Held over 3 weeks each February, these giant, colourful parades take place day and night,
with entertainment provided by over 1,000 musicians and dancers from across the world.

The first flower parade along the Promenade des Anglais was held in 1876.

For the 2015 Flower Parades, 16 flower covered floats make their way along the Promenade des Anglais and the Quai des Etats Unis.

Extravagantly dressed characters throw out mimosas, gerberas, and lilies into the public.
