11th August 2014 - P & B Merlin Rocket 2014 National Championships in Looe - Day 2.

Described as the ultimate hiking dinghy for two people,

some 65 Merlin Rocket crews are in Looe for their National Championships.

Racing today saw challenging conditions with a force 5 westerly winds creating heavy seas.

Sundays racing was abandoned due to 25 knot Westerly wind gusting up to 40 knots, the remnants of hurricane Bertha!

The Merlin Rocketeers head out to the course start in Looe bay.

Two races today - each of 50 minutes duration.

After racing the crews return to East Looe beach.

Tricky conditions on the shoreline.
