Even though high tide levels are now falling the strong waves and swell battered Looe again.

Fore street is flooded again, but this time the levels are not so high.
Police and other Emergency Services are on standby.
The doors on Looe RNLI's Albatross boathouse cannot hold back the tidal swell.
In the afternoon as the tide falls the whole boathouse, tractors and equipment have to be washed down to prevent salt water corrosion.
At low tide surfers are able to enjoy the big clean wave sets.
Today Looe appears to have got off lightly with little additional storm damage, unlike our neighbouring communities of Kingsand, Porthleven and Dawlish.
The town folk of Looe are a resliient bunch, sweeping out the floodwater, shops and businesses are quickly reopened for business.
Looe is "Open for business".
Some of the worse flooding I have seen in Looe since the mid 70's.
