24th August 2013 - Red Arrows at Dawlish Air Show.

A glorious summer saturday on the seafront at Dawlish as crowds line the seafront and beach waiting for the arrival of the Red Arrows.

Twelve noon on the dot, the nine hawk aircraft arrive.

Most of the display was out over the bay, it proved difficult to get any reference points in these images.

The Red Arrows act as ambassadors fror Great Britain, promoting the professional excellence of the Royal Air Force.

Red 1 Squadron leader Jim Turner leads the team for his second season.

The Synchro pair use the whole of the coastline.

This is the 49th display season for the Red Arrows.

One of the Synchro pair hawks streaks across the bay towards Exmouth.

And so the display ends for another year as they formation break to return to Exeter airport.
