24th August 2013 - Breitling Wing Walkers at Dawlish Air Show.

As soon as the Hawk jets of the Red Arrows had cleared the air space over Dawlish, radial engines could be heard.

The Stearman biplanes of the Breitling Wing Walker display team arrive.

The two wing walkers synchronise their moves.

and seem to dance in the sky.

Boeing Stearman biplanes were built in the United States during the 1930s and 1940s.

The team perform their own version of the Synchro cross.

The biplanes were used as military trainer aircraft. After the war they became popular as crop dusters and as sports planes.

the wingwalkers experience speeds of up to 150 mph and 'G' forces of up to 4G!.
