Two lifeboatmen are in the water, they set off an orange flare.
Over Looe bay, Rescue 193, a Sea King from RNAS Culdrose lowers a winchman / diver to the casualties.
The winchman is guided to the first casualty and prepares the strop.
The first casualty is winched up into the Sea King.
At the door of Rescue 193 they are pulled aboard.
An Air Sea Rescue exercise or demonstration has become a traditional feature of the Festival of the Sea. The action takes place close to East Looe beach and the Banjo Pier.
The winchman is lowered for the second casualty, who is also winched aboard Resuce 193.
With both lifeboat crew aboard Rescue 193, the Sea King moves across the bay ready for the secord part of the exercise.
The first lifeboatman is lowered as Looe's inshore Atlantic class lifeboat B-793 The Alan and Margaret positions itself under the Sea King.
With the first crewman safely back onboard the lifeboat, the strop is released.
and the lifeboat repositions ready to receive the second crewman.
With both crew safely back on board the lifeboat, Rescue 193 departs and the lifeboat returns to station.
