First to launch in the river is Looe's D class Inshore Lifeboat, D-741 "The Ollie Naismith".
Looe's B Class Atlantic 75 "The Alan & Margaret" follows close behind.
Both lifeboats meet up in Looe bay.
Tonight an exercise with a search and rescue helicopter from RNAS Culdrose has been scheduled.
Unfortunatley the crews are informed over the radio that the helicopter has been called out to an emergency.

The lugger FY519 IBIS moored in Looe bay is an early arrival for this weekend's Looe Lugger Regatta.
Looe rowing club are also out in the bay with their gig Ryder.
The Atlantic class crew practice a beach recovery using a catch net on the tractor / trailer unit.
