2nd July 2015 - Thunder moonrise over White Rock, Looe.

There are two full moons during July 2015, this one in early July is known by the Americans as Thunder moon.

With mist on the horizon you have to look carefully to see the faint outline of the moon.

We have had our fair share of thunder, lightening and rain frecently but the old english name of the July full moon is a Hay moon.

The is a coaster lit in the bay, moored off Rame head.

The full moon at the end of July is known as the Grain moon with the Fruit moon appearing during August.
