Over Cornwall approx 85% of the sun will be obscured by the moon.
The peak of the eclipse is set for 09.25am GMT.
I do not have a "big stopper" or ND filters, so I decided on a different approach.
Trying to capture the atmosphere, rather than the moon over the sun.
My viewpoint on the Banjo Pier looks out into Looe bay, but by turning around we have a great view of East Looe beach at lowish tide.
This was taken at 09.08 - 17 minutes before the maximum cover.
At 09.25, totality, the skies darkened at little. I was surprised how strong only 15% of the sun is.
