20th March 2015 - Partial Solar Eclipse.

In 1999 Cornwall witnessed a total solar eclipse, this morning is a partial eclipse.

Over Cornwall approx 85% of the sun will be obscured by the moon.

I do not have a "big stopper" or ND filters, so I decided on a different approach.

My viewpoint on the Banjo Pier looks out into Looe bay, but by turning around we have a great view of East Looe beach at lowish tide.

At 09.25, totality, the skies darkened at little. I was surprised how strong only 15% of the sun is.
