18th October 2014 -A garden visitor.

This little beauty was feeding off it's kill in our back garden this evening.

At first we thought it may have been a Peregrine Falcon but it is a female Sparrowhawk.

It was dusk and under the hedge so I had to crank up the ISO to 12800,

handheld my 150-400mm zoom still only gave me 1/30 second at f5.6,

so not as sharp as I would have liked.
