Race 1 of the 2014 series started at Portwrinkle on the Rame peninsula in cloudy conditions with a strong southerly wind,
paddling across Looe bay to enter Looe River.
Turning on a bouy in the middle of Looe River, the course then circum navigates Looe island.
before heading to the finish line off Millendreath beach.

There are different classes, solo, tandem and outrigger.
