Luxury steam train travel recreated on the East Coast Main Line!.

LNER A1 Class 4-6-2 no 60163 Tornado sits at Retford station taking on water.

The White Rose was the premier train from London to Yorkshire in the post-war years.

Operating from Kings Cross to York.

Today's hertigae steam tour departed Kings Cross at 07.48 arriving York at 13.12.

Departing York at 17.16 LNER Class A1 4-6-2 60163 Tornado arrives at Retford station to take on water.

Completed in 2008 Tornado only example of a LNER Peppercorn Class A1 class locomotive in existence.

Whilst Tornado and the White Rose sits on the platform, an East Coast mainline Intercity 255 passes on the fast downline.
