28th July 2013 - Fireball National Championships 2013 - Looe Bay - Day One.

Hosted by Looe Sailing Club the Fireballs visit Looe for a week of sailing in their National Championships.

Day One starts with a practice race, followed by two back to back races.

The competing Fireballs are launched from East Looe beach.

The championships have attracted 49 entries.

The Fireball is described as an international sailing dinghy with a single trapeze and spinnaker.

Crews face a strong southerly wind as they sail out to the start line in Looe bay.

GBR 15083 P&B crewed by Dave Wade and Dan Ellis from Northampton SC, follows GBR 15081 sailed by Niki Birrell and Geoff Edwards representing Parkstone Y.C, out to the start line.

IRL 14807 Clandogg Millionaire from Royal St George YC is crewed by Conor Clancy and James Clancy
with GBR 14391 Hannah Showell and Jo Line.

GBR 15073 Bossy Three sailed by Peter Gray and Tim Saunders from Staunton Harold SC, sails out to the start line.

GBR 15070 is the Darth Winkle crewed by Philip Popple and John Piatt from Shoreham SC.

GBR 14941 is Southpaws sailed by Derian Scott and Andy Scott from Chew Valley Lake SC.
