29th March 2013 - Tintagel and Boscastle.

St Materiana church sits on the headland between Trevena and Tintagel Castle to the West of Tintagel.

The churchyard is unusually large for Cornwall, to the East is wooden cross over the grave of Domenico Catanese (d. 1893).
On December 20, 1893 at Lye Rock, the barque Iota was driven against the cliff and the 14 year old perished,
others of the crew jumped on to a rock and were saved.

It is low tide at Boscastle.

The harbour is empty.
