Within 5 minutes the volunteer crew had arrived and the B class Atlantic 75 B-793 "Alan and Margaret" is being launched.
Behind me is the siren from the coastguard's 4x4 as it leaves the station at Hannafore.
The call is to the 37' yacht "Nikia", reported to have smoke coming from it's engine room.
The yacht was located approximately 1 mile South of Looe Island and Looe lifeboat stood by until the Fowey lifeboat arrived to tow the Nikia back into Fowey harbour.
This was the 8th call out for the lifeboat this year.
It was a busy bank holiday weekend as Looe's lifeboat was called out again at 16.09 the following day
to a cabin cruiser whose engine had failed just of Millendreath.
You can find out more about the RNLI and Looe Lifeboats on thier websites.
