13th October 2011 - Sorrento.

The land of the Siren and dating back to ancient Greece, Sorrento is built on the cliffs that look out over the bay of Naples and Vesuvius.

The old part of the town is based around the centra storio and Plazza Tasso is the focal point.

Corso Italia is the main street through Sorrento.

Across the bay of Naples is Vesuvius.

This is the roof terrace of the Grand Hotel De la Ville.

The narrow Via San Cesareo is full of shops and restuarants.
