The luggers wait in the bay until 11.30 when they move towards the start line off Looe island.
FY7 the Looe based lugger Our Daddy.
Can 87 La Cancalaise raises her sails.
The course is a triangular one in Looe Bay, with Rame head in the background.

The weather today is more cloudy and overcast.
There is little detail in the sky making my images a little flat, however they do capture some of the sailing action.
It is 1pm and just before I leave Hannafore La Cancalaise sails close to shore.
Returning to Hannafore at 16.30 there it is a little brighter.
As each of the luggers finishes the course they return close to East looe beach to moor.
La Cancalaise and Ripple close in on each other.
The smaller luggers can make there way up river.
The larger luggers have to wait for high tide.

Crews use smaller tenders to come ashore for the prize giving ceremony under the fish market,
With the final race finished the committee boat returns to port.
As the sun sets over Looe bay.
