20th April 2011 -Giant Observation Wheel - Plymouth Hoe.

Birmingham company Great City Attractions Global has set up a 60m high Giant observation wheel on Plymouth Hoe for the summer of 2011.

Whilst the London Eye is 135m high, this wheel is still twice as tall as Smeaton's Tower, the lighthouse on the Hoe.

There are 42 capsules each carrying up to six adult and two child passengers.

Shipped in large containers Great City Attractions Global claim they can erect the wheel within 10 days.

Each capsule is climate controlled and the VIP capsule even has a glass floor!
